Dr. Tracy Daniel-Hardy is the Director of Technology for a public school district in Mississippi. Dr. Tracy has over 25 years of experience as an educator in various capacities including teacher, guidance counselor, and instructional technology specialist. Dr. Tracy is board chair of Gulf Coast Housing Initiative Board, Tech & Learning Advisor, Future Ready Tech Leader Advisor, Innovation Directors Network member, Past President of Mississippi Educational Computing Association, 2022 Lighthouse Business and Professional Women Board Co-chair, and member Mississippi Department of Education’s Technology Advisory Committee, Mississippi Educational Technology Leaders Association, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and many other civic and community organizations. Dr. Tracy was the recipient of the 2019 Success Women’s Conference Volunteer of the Year Award, 2018 PowHER Education Award, 2017 NAACP Educator Award, 2016 Alcorn State University National Alumni Association Professional Achievement Award, the Lighthouse Business and Professional Women 2014 Woman of the Year Award, and the Blessed Gyrls Rock Award. Dr. Tracy champions causes and movements within her affiliated organizations that promote and encourage equity specifically for children, women, people of color, and others who are disenfranchised, under represented, and marginalized.
Dr. Tracy is author of The Adventures of Butch and Ruby: Chronicles of a Caregiver. She is the co-author of Everyday Struggle: How Toxic Workspaces Impact Black Women, Shut'em Down: Black Women, Racism, and Corporate America anthologies and the Foreword author for Women Who Lead in Technology, Volume 4. Dr. Tracy is the columnist for the Caregivers Corner in Gulf Coast Woman Magazine.
